First off, a cute picture of my dad and the kids (see how enthused everyone is?). My dad had a business trip out East and decided to swing by for a minute. Truly, not much more than a minute. I was impressed that he thought it important to come and give us all hugs, even though he didn't have much time to spend. He arrived around 1 am and left in the morning around 8:20. But the kids loved seeing him. So thanks, Pop!
That night for dinner Teancom decided that he just HAD to wear a hat. We tried to make him take it off and he put up such a squak about it that we just let it be. Once I was at the dinner table taking pictures, though, all the kids had to get in on the action. Pictures over dinner, what a treat! So I thought I'd post these 3 pictures of our kids, because I think it really catches in a moment how different the 3 of them really are.
First, Miciah. Given the opportunity to have her picture taken. How does she choose to pose?
Of course.
Then Elijah.
Hammin' in up.
And then Teancom. Background to this picture. He was looking pretty cute with the hat on and I took a bunch of pictures, but every time I put the camera down, he asked Rob for more food and I realized that he doubled in cuteness when he asked for food! I quickly formed my theory about the evolutionary advantage of looking extra cute when asking for food.

I don't know how many times Rob and I say to each other, "Aw. How can you resist that face?" You can't, really. It's just that cute. Tilted head. Slightly higher-pitched voice. Bambi eyes. Works every time.
