For a school assignment Miciah was supposed to answer the question, "What drives you batty?" Here's her response. (All spelling and punctuation is Miciah's.)
What drives me batty is when my brother, Elijah hits me and says he wants to kill me.* Guess what else drives me batty? When my other brother, Teancom, says he will play with me after school or something, and then doesn't. When I'm sad about my old cat Max or not having a sister, that also drives me batty! When my brother Elijah says he'll help me and then makes a mess, that drives me batty! When my dog, Coey, gets out of the house and barks at people just walking by or cars, that drives me batty, too! When I'm walking thu an apple orchard and apples fall on me, guess what? It drives me batty, that's what! What else drives me batty is when I'm reading and my brothers bother me! When my dad spanks me, it drives me batty! When I am trying to read something on a car and all of a sudden, it drives away! That also drives me batty! When my mom yells at me, it drives me batty! What drives you batty?
*We're working with Elijah on saying he wants to kill people. He went through a phase where that's all he said, seemed like. He hasn't said it to anyone for 2 weeks, and we have automatic punishments in place if he says it to anyone again. So, hopefully it's under control.
