A Short Tutorial

I think the word Python puts images into people's brains.  So I've put together this short Snake Tutorial to help people visualize the difference between my Ball Python and a few other varieties.

Boa Constrictors:
The size of your living room.  Can eat small pets.

Anacondas:
Massive.  Can eat goats (as in this picture) or, likely, anything else they want.  Scary as Hell.

Burmese Pythons:

The one in this picture is 20 feet long.  Can eat alligators (not joking).  Also scary as Hell.

Ball Pythons:
Cute.  4 - 6 feet long, at max.  Won't ever eat something larger than a rat.

The End

thank you, I now feel much better about Jeffrey (my vote for a name).

Whoaaaa, cool pet! I'm glad you guys found what is an ideal pet for your family. Jared and I have yet to agree. I'm a cat person, he's a dog person. We've each been trying to brainwash the kids to like what we like. :) As for a name, since HP is so popular, why not Nagini? That's a sweet old name.

What about a Burmese Boanocondia python?

By the way...I never questioned your judgement on this one. Snakes r kewl.

You should name it "I Ate Kooey" (however Kooey was spelled). I hope you have a leasing plan for the snake that allows you to trade up for a larger version when you're ready to start feeding it whole goats.
