Dear January,

Please forgive me.  I had no faith.

Today I am mowing my lawn, adding new mulch to my gardens, and planting pansies, broccoli, and kale.

Friday we had our first Fire of the season in our new fire pit in the backyard.  We debated camping out.  We all wore shorts and short sleeves and stayed outside until 10:30 p.m.

The windows have been open full-time for at least a week.

I've discovered how fun it can be to wear a skirt on days other than Sunday.

Our red bud is seconds away from blooming.  Our forsythia bush looks AMAZING.  Our lilacs are covered in buds just waiting to open.

Thank you.  Thank you, January (and February and March).  This has been amazing.

Love,
Tamra

P.S.  I hereby release you from any responsibility for the rest of the year's weather.  If it's Crazy Hot in June, I will not blame you.  If the mosquitoes are out of control this summer, that's not your fault.  If my plants all die because it's way too hot for way too long, I will feel no anger towards you.  March has been amazing, and that's enough.
