Six Quirks

I got tagged by a blogger friend last month. The blog was about six personal quirks. Since then, I've been slowly coming up with the quirks I have. I'll list what I've got, and if you know of more, feel free to share them with me (good or bad)!

Six Quirks

1 I tend to have intense opinions about completely pointless things. And, if I know you well enough, I will fight you to the death for those meaningless opinions, just for fun. (This is a family trait.)

2 I am anal about my purse to the point of near-paranoia. I always have it strapped across my body and I almost never take it off my person. Especially in a restaurant--I'll keep it strapped across my body and put it in my lap.

3 For ever picture I post online, I have spent hours labelling and organizing tens of tens more. I have every (digital) picture organized in exactly the same way (year-month-day Descriptive Words) and put into labelled folders by year-month. I also have ambitions of getting all my "traditional" pictures in the same digital format. ... This borders on OCD behavior, really.

4 Another near-OCD behavior: I clean off all my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Not just scrape them clean. Rob says, "They're almost clean enough to eat off of BEFORE you put them in the dishwasher." On top of this being just silly (but explainable since we had to do this growing up), the reason WHY I clean them like this is even sillier to the point that it's completely irrational: I get angry if my dishes come out of the dishwasher with stuff still stuck on them. I am especially anal about in-between the fork prongs.

5 When I'm on the phone I talk with my hands. Like they can see me. Rob says it's a pattern like this: I part my hair (which is so short you can't really part it at all) in the middle, then I stick my hand out straight and then I let my hand slap down on my leg. He says this happens particularly when I'm making a joke or being facetious. ... I have not noticed any of this, however, and I think Rob might be lying about it.

6 My Dress:
* I tend to think that the color light blue is the perfect color to accent any outfit. Hence I have quite a bit of light blue jewelry.
* In general I like to combine as many colors as possible no matter how they might look together (sometimes the more the colors clash, the better!). Bring on the color!
* I wear sweatshirts and/or T-shirts to almost anything.
* I wear sandals almost all year (the same type, too. I'm very specific).
* I wear a lot of vintage clothing or otherwise funky stuff. I'm not trying to make a statement or anything, it just makes me happy. People love it, really, so I don't know why more people don't take a chance.
The good thing about having dress quirks: People will be at a store and see something that looks "so Tamra", and they "have to" buy it for me. I get some of my best stuff that way.

So there you go. 6 Quirks. If you have more for me, let me know. Really.

I don't think I've ever heard you be facetious. I definitely think Rob is pulling your leg there.
