Random Kid Fragments

Reading Comprehension

Every Friday Miciah takes a Reading Comprehension test at school. On the 6th the reading test was all about scientists. I almost threw the test away without glancing through it, since she got 100% on it, but I noticed the teacher had made a comment on one of the pages, so I opened to it and found this:

6. How can older scientists help new scientists?

(Miciah's answer)
Teams of scientists help new scientists by pasing their ideas to them teching them wut thay know and showing them how to work with the things thay have for the new scientists like my daddy.

(the teacher's comment)
Wow! Amazing Miciah :)

I thought it was a cute answer for a number of reasons, so I thought I'd share it with you.

Miciah's Flower

Also, a few weeks ago Miciah brought me this pipecleaner flower that she made. I think it's gorgeous:

A Church Fragment

And as I was scanning through one of my notebooks, I noticed this fragment about church. It's dated December 7, 2008. Church is going much much better these days, but it can still be very stressful. This is what the fragment said:

Elijah went potty by himself. Came back into the chapel on the opposite side. Took the long way around the FRONT of the chapel, the whole time galloping like a horse. What can you do other than giggle?

Elijah as a Baby

Elijah has been obsessed lately with babies. Specifically, about when one of us was a baby. When he was a baby. When I was a baby. When Miciah was a baby. My favorite comments surrounding this:

"I wish I could have been there when I was born." (What a common wish, eh?)

He saw a picture of me when I was a baby and said: "How were YOU a baby?" I guess I'm too old for him to be able to imagine me as a baby.

Teancom's Twit

Teancom got up from a nap yesterday and came out with the stuffed animal dog that I had growing up. If any of you remember Puppy Pals. This particular one was my favorite one. It's all floppy cause it's lost half its stuffing. Anyways, Teancom came out with it, holding it like it's his new best friend, which is cute. What I thought was the cutest was that he insisted that the dog's name is Twit. Of all names. ... If he keeps playing with Twit like he has been for the last week, I'm CERTAIN it will not last to be able to hand down to his kid. But that's what toys are for, right? To play with.
